Job summary:        

Handles the executive director’s responsibilities when director is absent. Schedules and supervises the front desk staff and maintains the appearance of the visitor center. Fills in for PR and Events Manager at public events when manager is absent. Engages in stakeholder relations with appointing authorities, elected officials and other partners. Engages in project management and assists executive director in carrying out strategic plan action items. Leads director’s committees as assigned. Assists with monthly board reports, financials, as well as annual tasks and reporting requirements. Does presentations to the community. Assists with website content management and editing/reviewing content. Administers our grant program to ensure recipients comply with requirements. Handles other responsibilities as assigned.


Position requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, public relations, travel & tourism, communications, or similar area of study.

Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

Ability to accurately and clearly communicate when writing or public speaking.

Ability to work independently and as a team leader.

Ability to be organized and manage multiple projects.

Ability to innovate and be a visionary thinker, and to carry out what is planned.

Self-motivation and attention to detail.

Experience in project supervision, editing, leadership of staff preferred.

Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and demonstrated safe driving record. Duties require travel to meetings, conferences and events.

Ability to lift boxes of printed guides and items like a trade-show tent, table and chair. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.


Status:

Full-time salaried/exempt.


Work schedule:

Primarily weekdays. Schedule must be flexible to include evenings and weekends.


Salary:

$55,000


Benefits: PTO, organization-funded participation in PERF (retirement), and a monthly health stipend.
