This position is responsible for the safety, supervision and management of daycare and boarding dogs. This will include observing, interacting and utilizing proper dog handling techniques. Responsibilities include facility maintenance, cleaning play areas/accessories and kennel areas/accessories. Clear communication skills and an ability to work with all levels of personnel and management are essential.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience providing dog, pet or animal care is preferred (professional or personal)
  • Willingness to work with dogs of various sizes and breeds
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and spend time on your feet around a pack of dogs

Expectations:

  • Willingness to work with dogs, learn to read dog behavior, interact with dogs of all breeds & sizes and keep every dog in your care safe at all times
  • Prioritize pet safety and ensure safety of all dogs in your care by identifying and addressing potential behavioral issues proactively
  • Clean and maintain the whole facility (vacuum, mop, pick-up dog waste, take out trash, clean suites, etc.)
  • Willing to work weekends and holidays when needed
  • Perform other responsibilities if assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.50 - $11.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
