Summary
The Bakery Trainer position will focus on growth of sales through the correct execution of all Merchandising Programs as set forth by the Customer(s) by providing technical support and management of skills that enable the customer to operate a successful bakery. This is done by training ISB Associates in assigned stores as it relates to perfect quality bakery items through the use of correct customer documented procedures in categories including; Baked, Donuts and Cake products being produced and sold in the bakery, with a strong emphasis on Cake Decorating.
Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks, supply technical direction, training and in store assistance as needed by the customer and/or deemed necessary assigned by his/her supervisor.
- Understand, support and abide by the Company’s personal safety guidelines and principles.
- Be familiar with the policies and procedures as set forth by the Customer and adhere fully to those while working in their facility.
- Adhere to GMP requirements of Customer and FGF.
- Properly train ISB Associates on the correct Baking/Production procedures for any and all ISM products in the store specific assortment as set by the Customer.
- Submit Weekly Reports, Store Visit Reports, Expense Reports, etc. as outlined by the Bakery Trainer’s immediate Team Leader.
- Attend Meetings as required by the company and/or immediate Team Leader.
- Ensure that proper merchandising programs are being followed in assigned stores as set by the Customer, which includes; Modulars, Sanitation, Equipment usage/care, etc.
- Develop a POSITIVE working relationship with assigned store teams and store leadership as well as all FGF team members.
- Work toward and accomplish all Goals and Objectives as outlined by your FGF Team Leader.
Education:
- High school diploma with extensive experience in an In-Store Bakery is required.
- Practical training, college degree or formal culinary training a plus.
Skills and Experience:
- Must have Cake decorating experience at a skill level between moderate to advanced.
- Must have reliable transportation, hold a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Solid interpersonal skills and capable of explaining information so others can understand product concepts to Bakery personnel and store leadership.
- Must be able to work independently and maintain high level of self-motivation.
- Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize and be able to quickly shift between projects.
- Basic skills with Microsoft Office 365: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Must represent FGF in a professional manner and maintain high level of integrity and ethics.
Travel Requirements and Work Hours:
- Must be willing to travel 85% including overnight travel.
- The specific daily work schedule will be dependent on the business needs of the Customer in terms of 1) days of the week and 2) hours of the work day as scheduled with store leadership in your territory.
