Overview
As a team member, the Production Line Leader leads a team of Machine Operators to control and monitor a fast-paced, high-volume food production line. They prioritize personnel and food safety at all times.

Responsibilities
- Lead by example and foster an environment of mutual respect and teamwork
- Follow and enforce Company standards, at all times, to ensure a safe working environment is maintained
- Check throughout shift to ensure that methods are meeting quality, safety, and environment standards
- Conduct pre-shift huddles and provide feedback for Team Members
- Lead, coach, and mentor Team Members on one or more production lines
- Ensure production schedules are met and problems are worked out
- Coordinate the various department schedules, products, and manpower to ensure production runs smoothly
- Assist in testing of new equipment, methods and or products
- Trouble shoot issues with processes and equipment
- Utilize the OMS system to help achieve production targets
- Provide input on staffing levels and participate in sourcing and interviewing candidates
- Complete Performance Evaluations, with constructive feedback, for Team Members
- Act as backup to Shift Leader when necessary
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment critical (food / bakery experience is desirable)
- Must be a demonstrated leader and motivator
- Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and mathematical abilities
- Able to manage stress and personnel issues
- Trustworthy and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be a creative problem solver (think outside the box)
- Flexible to workdays, afternoons, nights & weekends if needed
- Must have working knowledge of GMP's, HACCP & O.H.S.A
- Must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Post-secondary education is an asset
