FGS Global is seeking a full-time Associate to join our Strategic Communications team. Working at the intersection of business, finance, public policy, and media, the Associate position is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in communications, public relations, and crisis management to develop research, writing, and media skills at a prestigious firm with high-profile clients. The Associate position is hybrid with an expectation of at least three days per week in the office. The individual can be based on our Los Angeles or San Francisco office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor media for assigned accounts.
Conduct and analyze industry and company-specific research.
Research ideas and supporting information, data, etc. for new business proposals.
Use refined research skills to assemble highly developed and accurate information.
Interface with clients.
Develop project deliverables and timelines.
Develop communication materials such as press releases, shareholder letters, investor presentations, media Q&As, etc.
Integrate strategic messages into written work.
Write and edit work with a superior understanding of correct grammar and punctuation.
Support senior account staff in a variety of capacities.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues throughout the firm.
REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s degree.
Strong knowledge of or experience in client relations, financial services, and/or investor relations.
Outstanding writing skills, including excellent proofreading skills.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work diligently under time constraints.
A collaborative spirit, with an ability to work well in teams and thrive in a non-hierarchical environment.
Advanced verbal communication skills.
Solid research abilities and analytical skills
An interest in business, public policy and regulatory issues.
Well-rounded and adaptable, and comfortable working through challenges.
A quick learner, who is prepared to jump in at a moment’s notice.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
