Summary:

The Inbound Dock Manager provides support to the Inbound Operations Manager. Makes decisions regarding distributing shipment assignments and coordinating unloading activities with appropriate departments. Collaborate with customers, supervisors, or other associates to exchange information or resolve problems.

Essential Functions:

· Provide support to the Director of Operations on daily operational activities and special projects

· Direct the safe and efficient operation of the dock by directing work assignments to appropriate associates

· Oversee daily monitoring efforts to ensure productivity objectives meet company/departmental standards

· Overall management of inbound shipments to meet productivity demands

· Keep track of bay assignments

· Collaborate with Inbound management team

· Assist with investigations to resolve associate grievances and complaints

· Adhere to and enforce established policies, procedures, state, and federal laws

· Work closely with Inbound/Outbound managers to coordinate shipment details

· Effectively communicate with fellow associates, host management, carriers, vendors and FHI leadership

Requirements:

· 18 years of age or older

· High School Diploma preferred

· Must be bilingual for effective communication with international drivers

· Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite

· Efficient in fast paced environments

· Dependable and reliable, good time management skills

· Available to work overtime when needed, may be asked to work holidays as well

· Demonstrate ability to lead and manage staff

· Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

· Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects

Work Environment:

Warehouse environment with extreme heat and cold temperatures.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to twist, pull, push, and stand for extended periods of time
