MID LEVEL PROGRAMMER

FI Consulting is seeking a full-time Mid-level Programmer to work in our Arlington, VA Headquarters and throughout the Metro DC area on client projects.

This project is supporting our client's ability to enhance their production and use of rigorous evidence for decision-making. This Project will provide contemporary, Federal specific solutions for evaluation capacity building tools to strengthen capacity and to integrate evaluation and evidence into their work.

Project Overview:

Executes technical work on programming and data science tasks, which may be part of larger evaluation projects or standalone projects. Identifies opportunities for leveraging agency, federal, and non-federal data to drive business solutions. Mines and analyzes databases, and develops processes and tools to model, analyze, visualize, and monitor data and verify quality of data, models, analyses, and results. Provides expertise in data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s with 5 years of work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
• Strong programming, graphical, and modeling skills in R and Python.
• Demonstrated experience in data analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data manipulation, analytical applications, big data engineering, algorithms, statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, and data visualization.
• Experience with application or system design and development, mobile development, relational databases, or related technologies.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Experience articulating research / analysis questions and using quantitative techniques to arrive at a solution using available data.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• US Citizen

Additional Requirements:

• Authorized to work in the United States as a US Citizen is required for security measures.  
• Successfully pass a background investigation and drug screening.
• Reside in the DC Metro area within 30 days of hire.
• Secure and protect company and client data and information and prevent its improper disclosure.
