The Role:
FIA Tech is seeking an Implementation Specialist to join our high-energy team during a period of exciting growth. The Implementation Specialist will integrate CCPs, Execution Platforms, Backoffice providers and Brokers with FIA Tech’s network and ensure high quality trade data capture. The role will be responsible for integration project management from requirements gathering through go-live. The Implementation Specialist will coordinate tasks that are handled by other teams but will be personally responsible for technical requirements gathering and analysis, writing specifications, configuring message format transformation, system setup, UAT support, and go-live management.
The Implementation Specialist will be joining a new team and will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our integration process.
Responsibilities:
- Acquire a thorough understanding of client integration requirements, including connectivity and message formats
- Prepare and maintain project plans
- Coordinate connectivity setup (e.g., FIX session setup)
- Write message transformation specifications
- Create transformers using an ETL tool
- Manage user acceptance testing (UAT) ensuring that issues are identified, raised, and resolved
- Manage controlled client go-lives
- At various stages of a project, coordinate and collaborate with the Sales, Development, QA, Connectivity, and Client Services teams
- Document client implementations
- Hand over live implementations to Client Services
- Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with clients and internal teams
Qualifications/ Preferred Experience:
- 3 years of experience demonstrating technical expertise and analytical skills
- Knowledge of message formats such as FIX, XML, JSON, and format transformation
- Familiarity with data transfer protocols such as FIX, MQ, FTP
- Experience with ETL tools preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly document complex technical information
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle automation is a plus
