We provide high quality design, installation and maintenance work for structured cabling, fiber optics, electronic security (IP video surveillance, access control, etc.), data centers along with commercial audio and video.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform quality network data cabling tasks including pulling, routing, and dressing cables.
- Execute project builds to specific requirements as directed by onsite supervisory management.
- Install, terminate, and test low voltage cables and fiber optic cables in various environments (commercial, industrial, residential).
- Identify and resolve issues related to network performance and cable faults.
- Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients and ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with other construction professionals, such as electricians and construction managers, to ensure wiring installations are coordinated with other parts of the construction project.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring all are in good working order and calibrated according to industry standards.
- Document technical specifications and maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during system breakdowns or interruptions.
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards and customer expectations in terms of functionality and aesthetics.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory. Further education, such as a degree or certification from a college or technical school, is highly beneficial.
- Clean driving record required.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test, criminal background check, and MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check.
- Experience with low voltage systems, including data, telecom, and other related systems.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding technical documents and blueprints.
- Skilled in cable splicing and termination of various types of cables.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality work that meets or exceeds project specifications.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly explaining technical issues and solutions to non-technical team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, showing initiative and responsibility.
- Consistently positive attitude, friendly and cooperative, enhancing team morale and client relations.
- Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Physically able to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Availability to travel out-of-state for projects as needed.
