Purpose: Quality Control Inspector examines finished carbon fiber product for defects or deviations from specifications.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications
- Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards
- Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process
- Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced
- Measure products with hand-held measuring devices such as rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers
- Accept or reject finished items
- Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
- Report inspection and test data
- Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Non-exempt, Full-time
Regular Hours of work: Normal Business Hours 7:00AM – 4:00PM, Mon-Fri; Weekends and Holidays as scheduled by Management.
Quality Control Inspector Education & Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in similar role
- Thorough knowledge of composite material related manufacturing equipment and processes a plus
- Proficient with MS Office products and Mini-tab
- Certification in Quality Control is a plus
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques
- Experience with electronic inspection equipment preferred (e.g. CMMs)
- Quality Control Inspector should possess the following skills:
- Math: Knowledge of basic math and computer skills are important because measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications are major parts of quality control testing
- Mechanical: Uses specialized tools and machinery when testing products
- Technical: Understand blueprints, technical documents, and manuals, ensuring that products and parts meet quality standards

Work duties may also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer and/or the ability to travel by air or auto. This position may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization. Some positions entail working with small parts/components. Employees must have excellent hand-eye coordination and good manual dexterity in both hands. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
