Bookkeeping Specialist

Fick & Son’s is a locally owned and operated company, constantly striving to expand our services throughout Michigan. Today we are proud to offer propane services, fuel transport, convenience stores, hospitality services, and diesel repair.

We are looking for a qualified Bookkeeper to assist in activities regarding the data monitoring and entry for multidepartment Bookkeeping. You will undertake a variety of tasks such as auditing/balancing division paperwork, and accounting practices. The ideal candidate will be a thorough professional with good communication abilities. The goal is to carry out all bookkeeping procedures with speed and accuracy. Starting wage of 15.00

Responsibilities

• Become proficient in the accounting software programs
• Audit paperwork for multiple locations
• Organize and file paperwork
• Learn month end procedures and issue statements and invoices
• Maintain accounting records
• Problemsolving by collaborating with colleagues and management
• Answer phones to guide propane customers, internal calls, and vendor calls
• Cross train within the corporate accounting office

Skills

• Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping
• Familiarity with general accounting principles
• Experience in data collection, entry, and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality
• Computer savvy with working knowledge of related accounting software or the ability to learn new software quickly
• Exquisite math and numerical skills
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving
• A friendly personality and outstanding customer service skills
