Summary/Objective
Solicit, analyze, evaluate and approve/deny credit applications for commercial and/or agricultural loans.
Essential Functions

1. Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
2. Interview applicants interested in obtaining commercial/agricultural loans.
3. Underwrites commercial/agricultural loans following bank policies and procedures.
4. Makes credit decisions to approve or decline loans within authorized credit limits.
5. Schedules, coordinates, and conducts loan closings.
6. Manages loans within loan portfolio.
7. Services loans in portfolio to retain high loan quality level.
8. Responsible for collection activities on loans as needed.
9. Maintain loan files with all proper loan documentation and all necessary supporting information is obtained timely and current.
10. Develops new business and expands existing relationships.
11. Participates in civic and community activities to generate visibility for the bank.
12. Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.
13. Maintain appropriate internal controls to protect the bank’s resources.
14. Openly communicates to all departments within the bank to determine efficiencies and improvements.
15. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all applicable law and regulations (as set forth by the Chief Compliance Officer).
16. Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee should be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Travel
Some travel may be required for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- 2 or 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Prior Lending Experience.
