Director, Product Owner (PYES/5500/Audit Support Operations)
The Role
This Director, Product Owner role is responsible for all aspects of operations excellence for Plan Year End Summary (PYES) reporting, Forms 5500 production and employee benefit plan auditor support.
Working globally across teams within Testing & Reporting Services (TRS), within Fidelity and outside of Fidelity, the Director, Product Owner focuses on owning the business process, delivering an outstanding client experience, establishing and nurturing industry relationships, demonstrating effective leadership, and providing a supportive environment where associates can thrive and grow.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Proven experience in leading people (8 years required).
Bachelor’s Degree or related experience.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and ASPPA designation beneficial.
Strong 401(k) plan knowledge and experience working with year-end compliance activities.
Analysis, Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving within complex and regulated processes.
History of collaborating and establishing effective relationships with peers, business partners and clients.
Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and ownership, seeking out and executing on opportunities to drive progress and transformation.
Expertise with Microsoft Excel.
The Team
The PYES/5500/Audit Support team is part of Testing & Reporting Services (TRS) which provides year-end compliance services to Workplace Investing DC clients. The TRS department is comprised of various compliance product and client-facing teams that are dedicated to supporting plan sponsors, employee benefit plan auditors and internal business partners with plan-level Department of Labor (DOL) and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requirements and deadlines related to year-end compliance.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
