Role

As the VP Health Care Digital Product Innovation, you will lead a team of Product Management, Health Care Market Research, Business Development, Vendor Management & Product Deployment experts who will identify, build & commercialize the next generation of products that drive continued growth for the Fidelity Health business over the next decade. This role combines the entrepreneurial freedoms and challenges of building/scaling a new business with the backing and support of a Fortune 100 company.

The Expertise and Skills You Have

  • Aligning the team’s mission with the broader enterprise strategy

  • Identifying and prioritizing key focus areas for investment

  • Building and maintaining an industry wide network of relationships to assess partner vs. build approaches

  • Providing the team strategic and day-to-day direction

  • Developing and maintaining market listening posts to test hypotheses & product concepts

  • Enabling team members to work iteratively, innovate through rapid prototyping & frequent client feedback

  • Overseeing the end-to-end execution associated with bringing new products to market

  • Meeting the product, go-to-market and sales pipeline metrics for each opportunity

  • Developing operating models to support the growth of each product.

  • Developing business cases and gaining executive approvals as necessary

  • You will be in a visible leadership role as the face of the Fidelity Health Care Innovation team and will regularly represent the work in internal and external forums. You will build, foster and celebrate a culture of customer centric thinking to create value. You will partner with enterprise functions including corporate, finance, legal, risk, compliance, venture arm, corporate business development arm and Fidelity Labs to share common practices and deal flow.

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, and an advanced degree is helpful

  • Meaningful experience in Health Care in a Payer / Provider / Digital Health setting is a must

  • Know how the health care industry works and conversant with regulations, competitive landscape, technology, and current trends

  • 10 years of relevant Product Management experience

  • Demonstrated success defining and launching software products from concept to scale

  • Operational experience with the early development and/or assessment of business models

  • Experience creating business cases to fund work with measurable value and identified critical metrics

  • Experience capturing customer and marketplace trends and translating to product strategy

  • Experience with management of product financials and using this information to plan product strategy

  • Experience communicating with senior leaders to influence and build organizational support

  • Enterprising leader who is passionate & familiar with the complexities of the health care system and driven by the desire to make a difference

  • A hands-on leader, an active listener and motivated by building a strong team that delivers results

  • Ability to influence leaders across the industry & across Fidelity to gain support for innovative ideas

  • Strong execution discipline coupled with a fail fast & learn faster mindset

  • Ability to work across the enterprise, build relationships, connect dots and leverage common capabilities

  • In this role you will lead the organization’s structured and focused approach to growing our business footprint in the health care space. You will set up the operating model to introduce and manage early-stage products from scanning for ideas to trying & scaling them. You will form and lead a cross functional team comprised of team members focused on Strategy & Market Research, Strategic Partnerships, Product Management, & Technology. You will form working partnerships with leaders from established Product Areas at Fidelity, Fidelity’s Benefits, Benefits Consulting & Venture Capital teams to routinely seek & iterate on opportunities.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
