You will be part of a team responsible for reporting, monitoring, and tuning of mainframe applications. This will include CICS, MQ, and WAS. The production mainframe environment consists of hundreds of address spaces across two geographically dispersed data centers. You will make recommendations for proactive and reactive tuning of the online environment and applications. You will have the support of multiple other CICS, DB2, WAS, MQ and MVS performance & capacity personnel. Your efforts will allow you to optimize the applications’ scalability and availability.
The Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring
BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience preferred
5 years of mainframe experience related CICS, MQ and WAS recommended.
Experience with CICS, MQ, CF, and WAS tuning on z\OS.
Experience extracting and analyzing System management facilities (SMF) data.
Experience with SAS programming
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience installing and configuring CICS, MQ and WAS on z\OS a plus
