The Role
As a member of the newly formed Brokerage Strategy and Planning team, The VP, Business Communications will help represent the voice of Brokerage Services and Operations (BSO) leaders and is responsible for engaging the overall BSO organization. This this role is at the forefront of helping BSO associates think and work differently as they deliver upon key strategic initiatives for the business.
With a deep expertise in communications strategy and content, this role will guide and execute best methodologies in communications and associate engagement and play a lead role in the development and execution of additional types of business communications. In addition, this position will help amplify BSO profile across the rest of the Fidelity enterprise.
The Expertise We're Looking For
* Bachelor's degree
* 10-12 years of relevant experience as a communications professional
* Deep expertise across executive and internal communications
* Financial services knowledge preferred
The Skills You Bring
* Strong intuition for business and a strategic mentality, able to understand a business' multi-year plan, financial drivers, and align and prioritize high-impact communications around this for internal audience
* Excellent program management and planning skills with validated ability to lead multiple components of multi-layered communications and programs
* Strong content strategist with outstanding storytelling skills across various media/channels (e.g., events, blogs, social media posts, videos, presentations, talking points, and emails), with the ability to take complex concepts and distill them into compelling content that resonates
* Collaborative and relationship-oriented, with the ability to think and work successfully across the business
* Innovative thinker with a desire to continuously learn and take creativity to the next level
* Independent and consultative - able to provide strategic recommendations across all levels of the organization, with a particular skill in consulting with senior team leaders
* Focused on quality but can balance pace over perfection
* Demonstrates impact of the communications delivered

The Brokerage Services and Operations Domain helps our 20M self-directed customers to get invested, grow their wealth, and achieve their goals while introducing the depth and breadth of our brokerage offerings to a broader set of customers
We make investing easier and provide a better value, better digital experiences, and a diverse set of solutions to meet the needs of the novice to the most advanced client. Additionally, we work to scale PI's operational cost and ensure sustainable business growth.
