Senior Systems Analyst

Job Description: Position Description: Performs system analysis and investigates system components to support the adoption process of SaaS platforms from beginning to end. Performs technical configuration and system testing to validate system components and create technical resources. Expands and modifies systems to serve new requirements or improve workflow. Performs analysis for large, complex projects in collaboration with internal business partners, vendors, and technical teams to ensure the technical requirements are met in an Agile environment. Recommends changes to existing systems design to achieve requirements and recommends designs for new systems based on requirements. Primary Responsibilities: Executes systems analysis for medium-sized projects. Writes business cases for review. Collaborates with business and technology partners to identify, review, define, interpret, and clarify scope of work in terms of business and/or system requirements and processes. Contributes to the analysis strategy for technology projects culminating in the creation of documentation to support project needs. Documents objectives, use cases, requirements, and specifications. Monitors documentation standards and best practices. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works with the user community for project definition. Communicates project plan information, objectives, and deliverables to the team. Works on complex assignments and on multiple phases of a project. Assists in defining analysis strategy and collaborates with multiple teams across business units. Identifies and records risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions in accordance with project standards. Participates in the review and validation of Quality Assurance test plans to ensure requirements have been met. Establishes project roadmaps. Performs technical analysis, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of software systems Recommends strategies and methods to improve production stability. Ensures execution of project regression and User Acceptance Test (UAT). Consults with management to ensure system principles and enterprise standardization address business needs and opportunities. Identifies opportunities for scaling, performance, and efficiency to resolve business problems. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing system analysis, technical configuration, and support of SaaS platforms according to Agile methodologies. Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing system analysis, technical configuration, and support of SaaS platforms according to Agile methodologies. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing technical analysis, configuration, enhancements, implementation, and maintenance of software systems to establish enterprise standards using JIRA, JIRA Align, Confluence, Postman, Power BI, pgAdmin, and SaaS platforms. DE collaborating in the delivery and work intake process for systems functionalities, Agile planning, platforms, portfolio management, and developing IT roadmaps and strategy, using JIRA, JIRA Align, Confluence, MS Office Suite, Mural, Power BI, and DOMO; and performing sprint planning, backlog creation, story estimation, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for the integration and enhancement of Agile platforms, and portfolio management using JIRA, JIRA Align, Confluence, MS Office Suite, Mural, Power BI, and DOMO. DE delivering work intake requests to address challenges/issues, identifying risks and dependencies, configuring system, and applying fixes to support user requirements using JIRA, JIRA Align, Postman, pgAdmin, and SaaS platforms; and creating user guides and technical documentation to assist new and enterprise-wide users in following standardization and best practices, using Confluence and MS Office Suite. DE performing data analysis and creating dashboards using MySQL, PostgreSQL, pgAdmin, Power BI, and Tableau; designing REST API contracts using Postman; and supporting project roadmaps and integration of complex applications to meet business use cases, using JIRA, JIRA Align, Data lakes, and BI reporting tools.
