Field & Fire is seeking a passionate foodie to join our pastry department. Join a team that cares about making the highest quality products. Work with regional, organic flours and local produce from Michigan farms. Everything in our bakery is handmade from scratch from start to finish. We are looking for a baker with attention to detail, drive and a strong work ethic. Shifts we need to fill are 4pm-midnight, Wednesday-Sunday, and midnight-8am, Monday-Friday. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Job Duties and Qualifications:

  • Produce croissants, muffins, scones, cookies, etc. according to pre-written recipes
  • Develop consistently high-quality baked goods
  • 1 year experience required (school, internships, etc.)
  • Experience working with laminated dough is a plus.
  • Experience making gluten-free and vegan pastries highly desirable.
  • Independent, ‘can do’ work attitude
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Ability to lift 50lb bags of flour
  • Basic knowledge of commercial bakery ovens, mixers, scales, health codes and safety procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
