While this is a remote position, you must live in or between Portland, OR and Seattle, WA.
The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing sales of Fieldpiece products through distribution partners by building relationships with store associates, providing sales training, optimizing the merchandising at the point of purchase and engaging in activities that maximize sales at multiple distribution locations in the defined territory.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform best-in-class sales and service to Distributors and End Users while demonstrating knowledge and enthusiasm for Fieldpiece products.
- Maximize sell through of Fieldpiece products by:
- Optimizing the merchandising at the point of purchase
- Providing product demonstrations and highlighting the value proposition of Fieldpiece products
- Providing Sales Training
- Providing the Distributors with ‘Right Stock’ Recommendations
- Making purchase recommendations to end users
- Supporting the distributor branches with events, sales training, and customer service
- Strengthening relationships with distributor associates
- Supporting and implementing strategic brand marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
- Maintaining and Strengthening relationships with Distributor Associates, Management and End Users.
- Monitor regular sales reporting, analyze data to identify opportunities and take action to maximize sales.
- Provide in-store product training sessions and demonstrations for Store Associates, Management and End Users.
- Develop primary knowledge of the marketplace (End-users, applications, products, competition, and distribution channels) to analyze market potential and maximize sales.
- Ability to work independently after initial training period to achieve sales goals leveraging technical ability, creativity and problem-solving skills.
Note: Employee's duties and responsibilities are not limited by the above. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the Regional Sales Manager.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in retail sales, field sales or customer service required.
- 3 years of Sales experience and/or 3 years as an HVAC Technician that wants to focus on sales.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Regular local Travel required.
- Overnight Travel: ~50% of the Time
- Ability to interact effectively with Regional Managers, Branch Managers, Counter Sales staff, End Users (HVACR Technicians) and other roles.
- Capable of lifting and transporting heavy tools (up to 50 lbs.) and requesting assistance as needed.
- Capable of using hands to maneuver small objects, assemble tools and build displays.
- Applicant should be self-motivated and a team player with strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
