Job Title: Chemical Line Racker

Reports to: Processing Manager
Job Location: Wichita, KS, USA
Experience: 1 years working in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Apply paper/tape masking to production parts prior to chemical or forming process
- Apply liquid masking to production parts prior to processing
- Pull plugs thru close-tolerance features prior to chemical processing (Pre-Penetrant Etch and Anodize)
- Prepare parts for prime and paint operations by solvent cleaning, sanding, and taping
- Perform removal of tape residue during the paint prep operations
- Unmask production parts, as needed, via paper/tape, liquid, or pull plugs
- De-mask and clean parts as required after coatings or processes have been performed paying close attention masking materials applied were correct and adequate in meeting customer/drawing requirements
- Select holding racks/baskets according to size, shape, and number of objects to be Chem processed
- Wire or clip parts to racks
- Remove parts from racks
- Transport parts to next area
- Maintain equipment, and keep work area clean and organized
- Read and understand work order requirements
- Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed
- Reference blue prints to accurately assess masking requirements specified on print
- Promote and work safely at all times and complies with all safety regulations while working with Hazardous materials and chemicals. Use all required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Processing Supervisor
Requirements:
- 1 year’s aircraft manufacturing experience preferred
- Depending, team-oriented, and good communication skills
- Must have very good attendance record
- Dependable, team-oriented, good communication skills
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Working Conditions:
- Weekend Shift: 6am-6:30pm, Friday to Sunday
- Some overtime may be required
- Ability to regularly and frequently lift 50 pounds
- Will be exposed to constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, moving, carrying light and heavy loads, and climbing stairs and ladders. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment
