We are looking for a highly motivated Buyer to join our team. We focus on driving exceptional customer service by providing the highest quality at the lowest price, with the quickest delivery. The Buyer will support this mission by demonstrating excellent communication and professionalism at all times.
Responsibilities• Copies data and compiles records and reports.• Purchases Supplies.• Performs data entry of all purchase orders.• Sends all new purchase orders to vendors.• Assists other departments when required.• Reviews requisitions.• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.• Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.• Receives and contacts vendors to find out status or orders.• Contacts vendors with discrepancies with quantity and quality.• Interfaces with all departments and resolves problems and issues as necessary.• Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.• Helps maintain the company’s inventory tracking system.• Updates the Raw Materials Shortage Sheet daily.• Follows up on open purchase orders and updates the date.• Informs Operation team of delays to any incoming material.

Individual should be committed to expanding product knowledge and utilize all available resources; striving for continuous improvement.• Exceptional interpersonal skills are critical. Self-starter. Strong time management skills that require little supervision. Ability to work under deadlines and focus on multiple projects with minimal supervision.• Ability to prioritize workload to meet changing business needs. Individual should have the ability to adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations and personalities. Must be able to maintain integrity, confidentiality and professional maturity.
Qualifications• High School diploma or GED, or 3 to 6 months Buyer related experience.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.• Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
