Supply Chain Co-Op

Overview

The Supply Chain Co-Op will be entrusted to support the Supply Chain and Warehouse in its efforts to transform and automate its Purchase Order Requisition (POR) and Purchase Order (PO) functionality. The Co-Op will focus on supporting the Supply Chain Leader and the site for a new POR-PO process through learning the system(s), mapping processes, investigating variances, defining potential failure modes, developing corrective and preventative actions, and supporting other daily Warehouse or Purchasing activities. The successful candidate will have demonstrated superior analytical and execution capabilities, and a strong track record of building trust through meeting or surpassing their commitments.

Responsibilities

Process Mapping

• Create a process, system and information map for the requisition and purchasing processes.
• Define gaps within the current processes, and root-cause to identify potential solutions.
• Develop corrective and preventative actions that can help poke-yoke (foolproof) the process.

 Analytics

• Investigates potential variances within the requisition and purchasing processes.
• Validate and clean up data, variances and discrepancies within the requisition and purchasing processes and tools.

 Systems and Tools

• Learn the requisition and purchasing systems and tools and be capable of navigating and extracting data through each.
• Utilize existing systems and tools and identify areas for further improvement.

 Requisitions and Purchasing

• Supplier communication, which may include POs, pricing, invoices, receipts and more.
• Support the Supply Chain Leader, as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a demonstrated desire to learn and grow within supply chain via by possessing a basic understanding of Supply Chain concepts, Lean Manufacturing methodologies, Analytics, etc.
• Pursuing, or previously earned, a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be substituted.
• Ability and willingness to gather and analyze large datasets and extract information for data-driven decisions.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
