Finario, the Solution for Capex, is a fast growing Software-as-a-Service technology company.  Our Enterprise Capital & Portfolio Management solution is utilized by leading companies worldwide to optimize the return on invested capital.  From the smallest Capex request to the largest capital project, Finario provides a single-source of truth for long-term planning, annual budgeting, approvals, forecasting and performance reporting.  Our cloud platform secures and shares this critical investment data for real-time financial process synchronization across the enterprise.

As the Director of Sales, you will apply your software sales savvy and team management skills to drive net new revenue growth for the firm, leading our outstanding AEs and SEs to even higher levels of achievement.  Reporting to the CEO, you will guide the growth and development of our direct sales organizations as well as coordinate efforts with our marketing and product teams to capitalize on our market leading position.  The team is relatively small and well trained, so this is a "player/coach" opportunity where you will leverage your greater sales experience to mentor and further develop the skills of our team and provide overall leadership and direction while also being personally responsible for a relatively small number of the largest, most strategic sales opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue growth - Establish and successfully execute on realistic annual sales plans that build on our past success to push to the next level
  • Close large opportunities - Lead by doing.  Close large strategic opportunities while deeping your understanding of our market and demonstrating best practice and what is possible to the rest of the team.
  • Mentor sales talent - Ensure the long-term success of our AEs and SEs through effective mentorship, training and development
  • Improve sales process - Practice continuous improvement to further refine and enhance sales KPIs
  • Scale sales department - Attract high-quality talent and manage the effective growth of our sales organization
  • Partner internally - Work with Marketing and Product to optimize effectiveness and impact on the business

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience selling finance related SaaS or software solutions, ideally to larger enterprises
  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant sales experience
  • Proven track record of sales success individually and as a manager
  • Emotionally intelligent with a good understanding of business and ascertaining key decision-makers
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to tactical execution and follow-through
  • Natural sense of curiosity with a desire to problem-solve for others
  • Willing and able to travel

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Enthusiasm for using and explaining the benefits of cloud technologies
  • Basic understanding of financial and investment concepts such as ROI and NPV
  • Sense of humor
