The Operations team enables Fingerpaint to deliver best in class, award winning work for our clients. The VP of Operations is the creative-problem-solver who maximizes operational efficiency through workflow and process improvement. You will be accountable for financial wellbeing and the successful project delivery of digital, omnichannel, and traditional campaigns. You enjoy the challenge of enacting change to reflect longer term vision and company culture.  You are also confident managing a portfolio of business worth $30mm   as you are responsible for all aspects of operations, including direct management of the Project Management and Office Administration teams , for our Saratoga Springs, NY Office.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement by assessing, establishing and implementing processes, methodologies, and superior tools intended to maximize effective planning workflows and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other business leaders from Operations, Resource Management, Project Management, Account Services, MarTech, Advertising, Media, Creative, Strategy teams and other cross functional disciplines to identify any inefficiencies and establish best practices that support integration and alignment of our company wide vision and strategies.
  • Develop KPIs, create reports and present findings to leadership with key metrics on the health of the team’s operations and opportunities to increase productivity and profitability.
  • Continuously seek out ways to improve, simplify, and unify processes, practices, and culture.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including senior-level clients and internal agency leadership, to enact and champion organizational change.
  • Participate in new business efforts, including scope, timeline and staff plan development to achieve and exceed utilization and revenue margin targets.
  • People management of Project Management and Operations/office administration team, including career development and mentoring.
  • Financial Duties may include: Margin management, Revenue forecasting, Staff forecasting, Utilization targets and reporting, management of freelance costs, client rates
  • Standardization of tools and processes related to finance management, resource management, project management.
  • Advocate for appropriate resource management by ensuring responsible freelance staffing decisions are made in support of utilization goals and productivity, while maximizing fulltime staff utilization.
  • Facilitate resource sharing across the entire Fingerpaint Group.
  • As a member of the Fingerpaint Group PMO, ensure project delivery methodologies are consistent across the entire organization.
  • Responsible for high quality, timely project delivery within budget.
  • Responsible for ensuring continuous improvements are identified and established and that ther project teams use flexible project planning designed to support the strategic, creative, and executional process. 
  • Partner with central office leads, business leadership, and other operations leads to enact business evolution and drive change management across the organization.
  • Manage award show submissions and lead regular staff meetings.

 

Requirements:

  • 10 years of related professional experience in program management and/or operations management within an advertising and marketing agency environment.
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
  • Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
  • Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and budgeting
  • Working knowledge of program management software
  • Advanced MS Excel skills are required
  • Advanced MS PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Business acumen with a strategic ability
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • An analytical mind-set with great problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Preferred experience within healthcare/pharmaceutical advertising
  • Experience with Ziflow, Workamajig, Jira
