Paint Store Color Matcher

We are looking to add a new color-matcher to our stellar team for 2024!

This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts at a fast paced wood coatings specialty store, servicing wholesale and retail customers. It will require great customer service skills, a great eye for color, accurately inputting customer purchases into a POS system and taking phone orders. This position may also assist with general warehouse, delivery and store upkeep duties as needed, including loading and unloading of material, cleaning common areas and staging orders for delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a valid driver's license and clear driving record.
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours and required overtime, which may include weekends.
• Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, forkllift, etc.).
• Must have experience using a POS system and cash register.
• Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior customer service experience in a retail paint store
• Prior experience color-matching coatings using formulation software
• High school diploma

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 years experience in a paint or big-box home improvement store preferred.
• Prior experience using paint store equipment (paint shakers, spectrophotometers, manual and auto-tinters), with the ability to understand pigment variations and
• Prior experience in the wood finishing or cabinet-making industry.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
