Finzer Roller is looking for a Plant Manager for our recently renovated headquarters in Itasca, IL. The Plant Manager plans, directs, and coordinates all plant operations and production goals for our $14 million manufacturing operation.
Finzer Roller offers $110,000 - $140,000, bonus potential, medical, dental, vision, life, 401k match, PTO.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Leads Company efforts to implement and support best safety practices. Ensures a clean, safe work environment.
- Plans and oversees workflow such that products are manufactured within delivery expectations.
- Manages quality, productivity, and profitability. Reviews financial statements, sales reports, and other data to measure and ensure consistent, sustainable performance.
- Identifies opportunities and implements changes to improve quality and efficiency.
- Works closely with sales representatives and/or customers to provide information or to resolve customer issues. Prepares quotes for new cores and special projects.
- Oversees inventory of rubber compounds and production supplies to meet production demands.
- Manages staff of approximately 50 employees, prepares work schedules and hours, and assigns specific duties. Fosters a well-trained and motivated staff.
- Works closely with General Regional Manager and Director of Manufacturing to establish plant goals and to implement action plants.
- Assists with plant budget preparation. Administers control of all cost centers within budgetary guidelines and financial operating plans.
Qualified candidates will have the following:
- 10 years in manufacturing management. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with machinery or strong mechanical aptitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and using an ERP system, preferably Epicor.
- Able to coach, mentor, and lead a cohesive team.
- Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to the team’s success.
