The Senior Voice Engineer leads and delivers the successful implementation, troubleshooting and support of voice infrastructure systems for application functionality and performance.

Job Duties
- Lead, design, engineer and build voice solutions to meet business objectives, using a data-driven approach
- Administer voice application through test/security controls based on business requirements, technical specifications and/or change control requests
- Proactively adjust voice services to optimize performance and functionality; partnering with IT peer groups to perform root cause analysis of issues and identify solutions
- Lead in the development and review of clear voice and process documentation consistent with department standards; identify process gaps and recommend improvements
- Provide 24/7 voice support and maintenance with on-call duties after hours, as required to meet service expectations
- Mentor peer Engineers on a day to day basis
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing IP/PBX system and ACD applications, including troubleshooting connectivity and voice quality issues, in a 24/7 enterprise nationwide network environment
- Advanced knowledge of LAN switching, DOT1Q trunks, VLANs, QOS, H.323 and SIP, DHCP, COS and DSCP, SBC, and teleconference systems
- Advanced knowledge of network management and monitoring systems including voice quality monitors
- Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting SIP based WAN technologies and legacy POTS, T1, and PRI circuit technologies
- Advanced knowledge of analog and digital fax systems
- Proficiency with telephone banking and IVR
- Ability to problem solve effectively, with strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once, prioritizing, working independently and comfortably under pressure in a fast paced environment; all while exhibiting exemplary technical skills
- Demonstrated ability to establish credibility and rapport with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of users
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is preferred or equivalent work experience
- Certification/License: CCIE Collaboration certification is preferred
