Job Posting for IT Support Technician at Fire Control Systems
The IT Support Technician provides technical support for all computer related hardware and software, identifies and resolves issues and service desk incidents, manages and deploys updates, participates in special projects, and performs all other duties as assigned by IT Management.
Duties include:
Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of operating systems and application software being used to provide high-level support to users.
Install and setup workstations and printers ensuring connectivity and proper operation
Suggest training ideas for users based upon interaction from resolving support requests.
Notify IT Management when equipment repair is required and keep records of such.
Contribute to problem resolution via email, phone, or through service desk system and provide training to end users
Must have analytical skills to resolve end user issues and solid written and verbal communication skills
Responsible for creating and updating tickets according to standard procedures and policies.
Monitor and test resolutions to ensure issues have been adequately resolved
Update knowledge base content built on issue resolution and training
Ability to work in a challenging environment with a high degree of attention to quality, detail, correctness to meet SLA
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must have strong work ethics
Detail oriented problem solvers, professional attitude, reliable
Proficiency in Google Workspace preferred
Possess strong organizational, documentation, time management skills
Excellent customer service provided by communication skills both verbally and in writing
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Timely and dependable employee
Requirements:
Associate Degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Two or more years experience supporting MS Windows, preferably Windows 10 and higher
Experience with Google Workspace a plus
Two or more years experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
