Investigative Analyst

Firebird AST is seeking an Investigative Analyst to support a U.S. Government client. Experience in law enforcement, financial fraud, and money laundering is required. This is for a pending contract. Contract award is anticipated to be May/June 2023.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Asset Forfeiture and/or financial Investigations by providing ancillary support to the Agency’s Asset Forfeiture Programs. This may include supporting the Government, or other contractors.

REQUIRED

• Undergraduate degree.
• 5 years’ experience providing financial analysis and investigative support to law enforcement agencies.

PREFERRED

• Foreign language skills.
• Knowledge and expertise in import and export laws, customs regulations and compliance, international and domestic trade law, shipping operations, sanctions, US PATRIOT ACT, Bank Secrecy Act, and tariff regulations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, reports, policy, legal documents, etc.
• Ability to prepare reports and presentations to company management and customer(s).
• Demonstrated leadership ability, strategic and innovative thinker, and passion for the mission.
• Ability to identify and solve problems.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.

CLEARANCE

• Active DoD Secret (Top Secret preferred).
