Fireline is a full-service contractor that specializes in the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
Due to growth within our organization, we are looking for a Controller. This role is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Accounting Department to include financial statements, month-end financial procedures, accounts payable, accounts receivable, Work-in Process (WIP) reports, job costs, billing, cash management, taxes, insurance, payroll, and other financial reporting/projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations of the Accounting Department, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
- Generate monthly financial statements
- Provide budgets and forecasting to management
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk
- Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's financial performance
- Provide financial analysis
- Work with external auditors and provide the needed information for the annual audit
- File quarterly and annual reports
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
- Perform other related duties as necessary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 10 years of related experience required, preferably in the construction industry
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred
- Excellent leadership and supervisor skills
- Proficient in accounting, payroll, and tax preparation software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
