The Position:

The Laundry Delivery Driver at Fireside Catering is responsible for the transporting and exchange of laundry at several locations. It involves driving medium size box trucks on a consistent route in Massachusetts while adhering to a time schedule. This is an ideal job for someone who can work independently, appreciates physical work and interacts positively with the people at our businesses along the route. Full and part-time hours are available in combination with other duties.

Responsibilities:

• Pack and load clean linen carts into trucks, ensuring accuracy of load against the delivery ticket
• Drive trucks to specified properties and unload clean linen to proper storage areas
• Tag and identify soiled linen using proper techniques to ensure that no cross contamination occurs. Load truck and returns items to laundry facility.
• Complete safety inspection of truck prior to every delivery
• Maintain appearance and cleanliness of the truck
• Communicate delivery location concerns or complaints promptly
• Able to correctly and safely operate truck lift gate and back up trucks into tight places
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operations of a commercial motor vehicle
• Perform other duties, as needed

Requirements:

• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Able to push/pull carts and racks loaded with linen 
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
• Must be able to follow maps, or directions, to reach destination in a safe and efficient manner
• May include working on the weekends or during holidays
• Prior delivery or laundry experience a plus!
