Job Summary:
The Service Ambassador is a support-level position that performs multiple front of house functions including directing guests to their table, bussing, running beer & food to tables and cleaning & sanitizing throughout the restaurant. During higher volume times in the restaurant, this position will typically be assigned one specific function, in order to support the higher volume. At all times, this position will ensure all quality standards are met and guests receive the most positive and welcoming experience.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
- Responsible for greeting patrons into the restaurant and seating them.
- Ability to provide guest with menus if applicable and/or inform them of the new barcode scanner for menu access and ordering.
- Ability to run food & beers to tables, ensuring the correct quality is present first, buss tables, provide needed items, and/or check on tables throughout service
- Responsible for completing normal and additional cleaning and sanitation as indicated in the COVID-19 Restaurant Safety Plan.
- Ability to answer customer questions as needed on food items, beers, retail or other.
- Having an understanding and knowledge of the simple descriptions of each menu item. This includes basic ingredients, preparation and flowing description phrases. Know and understand the fundamentals of our beers.
- Ability to ensure beer quality is at its best when running beer(s) to the table. Foam head should be at 2inches high.
- Responsible to looking for ways to improve the guest experience.
- Responsible for reporting a guest’s opinion and/or concern to the manager and/or alerting a manager if there are any problems.
- Alerting a manager when you are overbooked and ask for assistance so that no one gets left behind.
- Ability to understand and maintain a working knowledge of all company and Taproom policies & procedures and comply with them.
- Ability to maintain a positive and proactive approach with the guests and co-workers.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests
- Very strong organizational skills. Ability to maintain professionalism at all times even under high volume, stressful times and situations.
- Ability to be a strong team player and get along well with co-workers and guests
- Ability to manage and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to give high priority to customer satisfaction. Ability to take initiative, act promptly and be proactive.
- Ability to clock your time on POS system, utilize hot schedules for scheduling, and utilize HR systems online to access information and complete job-related tasks.
- Prior experience in a fast-pasted restaurant doing above or similar duties.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk, use hands to finger, type, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must have ability to smell and taste. The Employee must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
