Floor Supervisor/Manager

We are seeking floor supervisors at the Reno Public Market. The Floor Supervisor will oversee the market and all of the day-to-day responsibilities. Work closely with General and Assistant General Manager, Vendors and Porters. Make sure everything is running smoothly and being upkept.

RPM Hours of Operation:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 11AM - 10PM

Friday, Saturday: 11AM - 11PM

Sunday: 11AM - 8PM

RESPONSIBILITY:

Responsibilities include and may be modified or increased as necessary:

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance standards.
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
• Ensure business standards are met.
• Promptly report unsafe conditions or incidents to management
• Supervise operations and maintain knowledge of and follow all Reno Public Market rules and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Be a good leader and role model to staff.
• Manage staff and provide guidance to and communicate effectively with all team members.
• Walk the market and maintain visibility to staff throughout the shift.
• Maintain a good relationship with vendors and staff.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing training for all staff
• Attend management meetings
• Welcome guests to the food hall and help with directions
• Resolve guest concerns or conflicts that arise in a timely, professional, and appropriate manner.
• Assist in delivery and pickup operations
• Assist in special events when needed.
• Provide a helping hand to vendors, staff, and guests.
• Responsible for any emergency cleaning occurring during shift.
• Has open availability and may work some public holidays.
• Notify the General Manager of any discrepancies in the overall condition of the environment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma required
• Significant work experience in the hospitality industry
• Experience supervising others

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Strong working knowledge of food and beverage service
• Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to identify and resolve areas conflict or concerns
• Ability to use restaurant management software
• Strong leadership skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
