What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Supervisor/Manager position at FIRETEN Hospitality?
We are seeking floor supervisors at the Reno Public Market. The Floor Supervisor will oversee the market and all of the day-to-day responsibilities. Work closely with General and Assistant General Manager, Vendors and Porters. Make sure everything is running smoothly and being upkept.
RPM Hours of Operation:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 11AM - 10PM
Friday, Saturday: 11AM - 11PM
Sunday: 11AM - 8PM
RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsibilities include and may be modified or increased as necessary:
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance standards.
- Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
- Ensure business standards are met.
- Promptly report unsafe conditions or incidents to management
- Supervise operations and maintain knowledge of and follow all Reno Public Market rules and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Be a good leader and role model to staff.
- Manage staff and provide guidance to and communicate effectively with all team members.
- Walk the market and maintain visibility to staff throughout the shift.
- Maintain a good relationship with vendors and staff.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing training for all staff
- Attend management meetings
- Welcome guests to the food hall and help with directions
- Resolve guest concerns or conflicts that arise in a timely, professional, and appropriate manner.
- Assist in delivery and pickup operations
- Assist in special events when needed.
- Provide a helping hand to vendors, staff, and guests.
- Responsible for any emergency cleaning occurring during shift.
- Has open availability and may work some public holidays.
- Notify the General Manager of any discrepancies in the overall condition of the environment.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma required
- Significant work experience in the hospitality industry
- Experience supervising others
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong working knowledge of food and beverage service
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to identify and resolve areas conflict or concerns
- Ability to use restaurant management software
- Strong leadership skills
