We are growing globally and looking for a Payroll Manager to support our international expansion! What you’ll be doing 

* Manage and process full-cycle multi-currency payroll directly and indirectly via third parties and subsidiaries for our global team of exempt, non-exempt, contractors, and subsidiary employees

* Review and process hires, terminations, deductions, direct deposits, wires, expenses, variable pay, and other adjustments in various pay cycles around the globe including overseeing our time and attendance tracking

* Establish local payroll providers in new countries while managing relationships with existing payroll partners such as PEOs

* Be the subject matter expert for wage and hour laws including garnishments, benefits, leaves, 401k, FSA; audit and manage payroll compliance and filings with various regulatory bodies and tax agencies around the world including federal, state, and local laws

* Perform regular pre and post audits to ensure payroll accuracy for reporting and reconciliation purposes

* Act as the primary point of contact for global employees providing timely responses and excellent customer service regarding payroll inquiries

* Integrate systems and develop consistent, scalable processes, standard operating procedures, and strong internal controls across all countries and entities

* Provide data-driven insights and recommendations as needed to internal stakeholders


 We’ll be excited if you have

* Active Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Certification required

* 10 years of multi-currency payroll experience in a high-volume, fast-paced global environment (ideally a SaaS or growth stage start-up setting) with multiple employee pay cycles, entities, contractors, and gig workers

* Must have directly processed recurring, one-offs, and other variable pay for the US, Canada, and international contractors and understand payroll requirements like wage and hour laws and tax implications

* Demonstrated experience with payroll system integrations, implementations, and automations for global mid-size companies or larger 

* Strong knowledge working directly with tax and government regulatory agencies andwage laws for multiple country jurisdictions

* Embrace working in a fast paced continually evolving environment with a team

* Excellent listening, verbal, written communication and an emphasis on superior customer service, project management, and analytical skills

* Self-motivated and resourceful, with demonstrated ability to operate with a high degreeof detail oriented accuracy

* A positive mindset of extreme ownership, speed, no ego and perpetual unlearning and learning



As a hybrid office-centric company, we are looking for candidates in the Bay Area willing to be in-office three days a week.


The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated pay range for this role is $115,000-$145,000. Other factors that impact compensation include stock options. The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity. Candidates may receive more information from the talent partner.
