What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrator position at First Armenian Presbyterian Church?
We are looking for a motivated and organized Administrator to organize and drive our church's day-to-day operations. Additionally, to provide support to the Senior Pastor and other ministry leaders.
Your job will be to oversee other staff, ensure that goals are met on time, organize, manage, and evaluate events, monitor the budget and finances, update policies and practices to best accomplish the church's mission. In addition, the administrator is responsible for performing duties in administration, finance, human resources, event and facilities management, decision making, planning, and overall direction of the church support staff.
The Administrator should be able to make good decisions, take initiative, be highly organized, and be able to multitask.
Responsibilities
- Organize meetings and schedule events
- Oversee communications
- Manage facilities (delegate/hire out repairs)
- Ensure that others are maintaining internal databases
- Submit expense reports
- Oversee tithing records
- Keep employee records (physical and digital)
- Prepare regular reports and presentations
- Organize, store and print company documents as needed
- Update office policies and ensure compliance with them
- Attend and coordinate staff meetings
Skills
- Proven experience as an Administrator, Administrative Assistant, or relevant role
- This position requires experience as a senior leader in the business environment, preferably in church administration.
- Familiarity with office equipment, printer, computers, etc.
- Knowledge of office policies and procedures
- Experience with office management tools (MS Office software)
- Ability to learn specific church management system (Planning Center)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Discernment, and decision making abilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Problem-solving attitude with an eye for detail
- Prefer possession of a college degree in business, technology, or other related fields.
- A proven track record of effective leadership, judgment, and above reproach character.
Other
- Maintain schedule and goal accountability for pastoral staff and employees.
- A pattern of church attendance and ministry involvement.
- Attend and help organize the Sunday worship service 9 am - 1 pm
- Personal faith in Jesus as savior, and an active relationship with Him.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
