Overall Functions
This person will be responsible for graphic design – both digital and print design/production of all marketing materials within the marketing department.
Qualifications
This person must be a highly creative team player, have a bachelor’s degree in design, graphic communications, or similar, and 5 years of relevant work experience. Adherence to deadlines, superior attention to detail, and effective communication skills are key factors to achieving success in this role. This person must be organized and self-motivated. A strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory, as well as technical production skills in the latest Adobe Creative Cloud software and proficiency in Microsoft Office software are required. Animation and web design experience is beneficial. Any HTML coding ability is a plus. Marketing or in-house agency experience preferred. Portfolio/examples of work are required.
Responsibilities
Design and produce various print and digital marketing materials for our lines of business including web and print ads, brochures, posters, postcards, newsletters, static and animated web and social media graphics, PowerPoint presentations, email communication, video displays, digital and static signs, and other branded pieces.
Design strategic internal company campaigns and announcements with static or animated graphics for email, intranet, or website exposure.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met, company brand standards are followed, and deliverables are of the highest quality.
Collaborate with the creative team and outside vendors, providing leadership and mentorship, while supporting strategic objectives at the company and line of business level.
Progressively pursue new graphic industry trends and best practices, incorporating new techniques and technologies into your work and coaching/teaching others.
Prepare project cost estimates, working to foster and build efficiencies and cost-savings.
Leverage relations with printers, media representatives, promotional materials suppliers, and other vendors, negotiating annual contracts and requesting/managing quotes.
Act in accordance with FBT policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training.
