The SVP / Director of Banking Operations is responsible for the strategic leadership, oversight, and day-to-day management of Loan Operations and Deposit Operations departments. This role will provide daily leadership and counsel to direct reports, foster collaborative, inclusive working relationships across the organization and develop and implement processes, procedures, and technology which are in alignment with customer delivery expectations and support the Bank’s strategic plan. Position reports to the EVP/Chief Risk Officer located primarily at the Strasburg Operations Center.
Summary of Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Identify, implement, and integrate processes, procedures, and technology solutions to ensure the Bank’s continued competitiveness in the commercial and consumer markets
Create functional strategies and specific objectives for Loan Operations and Deposit Operations departments
Establish collaborative, inclusive working relationships with other peer and leadership officers
Ensure operational procedures are efficient, risk adjusted, auditable, and aligned with internal and external customer delivery needs and expectations
Develop service level agreements (SLAs) with and for key stakeholders
Ensure operational support teams are prepared for organic and acquisition growth opportunities
Develop and maintain various governance and operating policies, ensuring policies, and procedures are in compliance with banking regulations and applicable state/federal laws
Prepare an annual budget for personnel and fixed assets related to departmental functions
Develop and monitor controls which ensure customer and corporate information is accurate and insulated from fraud, theft, and intrusion
Coach, lead and mentor deposit and loan operations managers to build out succession planning for the departments
Lead and evaluate all deposit and loan operations work efforts to ensure efficiency and productivity is achieved
Lead staff meetings as needed
Conduct regular performance review meetings with direct reports
Performs other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum seven years’ experience in banking with extensive knowledge, experience and understanding of banking operations, finance, and the banking industry
Minimum two years' experience in a corporate management role
Senior level leadership experience highly desired
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent exceptional work experience
Strong knowledge of banking laws and regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including
Solid interpersonal, coaching and facilitation skills
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
Typical full-time, Monday - Friday primarily on-site work schedule
Successfully complete pre-employment background screening
