What are the responsibilities and job description for the Motorsports Technician position at First Bike Motorsports?
If you’re a skilled Motorcycle or Powersport related technician, or fresh out of Motorcycle Mechanic School and are looking for a full-time (Tuesday- Saturday) schedule - this could be the career for you!
* Must have at least 1 year of mechanical background working on automobiles, boats, ATV’s or motorcycles
Have the ability to get, your PA motorcycle inspection license. You will need your own basic tools.
This person is responsible for reviewing and recommending powersport related service work. They will also be responsible for performing all recommended repairs safely and responsibly.

Job Specific Requirements:
General
· Have a good working knowledge of computers
· Have a good working knowledge of powersport related vehicles and their mechanical operation
· Review units for repairs and make recommendations
· Write and communicate repair information to the service manager without error.
· Must be able to maneuver and operate a 2-wheel motorcycle with expertise
· Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
· Help unload/load vehicles from trucks and trailers as needed
· Responsible for all company equipment and tools associated with reconditioning and service
· Report any misuse of company tools and equipment
· Report any violations of company and safety guidelines as discussed in annual meetings
Diagnostic
· Properly determine any safety, running and/or rolling issues the first time
· Assist in running diagnostics tests
· Verify the Concern, Cause, and Correction for each vehicle that requires a repair estimate
· Verify that all proper tests have been performed in our diagnosis process prior to submitting an estimate
Technician
· Make sure top priorities are in and out as fast as possible while keeping the quality of work at the highest standards
· Ability to perform all tasks across all makes and models
· 1-5 years of experience is preferred, but not required
· A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
· Possess basic mechanic tools

- Complete online and classroom technician and general powersport vehicle training.
- Perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and document additional needed work
- Ability to repair a wide variety of motorcycles, ATV's, side-by-sides, and personal watercraft
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership, and provide quality work
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership processes.
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, safety, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, etc. ·
- Communicate directly with Service Advisor so customers stay informed if additional concerns arise
- Provide estimate of time needed for subsequent repairs
- Execute repairs to manufacturer specifications, under warranty guidelines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
