Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the overall success of our medical practice. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and diseases
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as needed
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Perform clinical research to enhance patient care outcomes
- Assist with procedures such as IV infusions, catheter care, and wound care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
Skills:
- Strong clinical knowledge in internal medicine, medical-surgical, and utilization management
- Proficiency in conducting physical examinations and diagnosing medical conditions
- Ability to interpret diagnostic tests accurately, including ICD-9 coding
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with the healthcare team
- Strong organizational skills to manage patient care plans and documentation
- Knowledge of infection control practices to maintain a safe healthcare environment
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in [state]
