What are the responsibilities and job description for the A/P Clerk position at First Choice Home Builders, LLC?

Fast-growing construction company in search of an experienced AP Clerk/Purchasing Dept Asst to round out our team. Self-starter and driven is a must. Easy going, fast paced office environment but the ability to buckle down and get the job done is expected.

No degree necessary, however a thorough understanding of accounting principles and basic bookkeeping is required. Applicants must have the ability to pay attention to detail and enter a high volume of data. Daily communication with internal departments and outside vendors necessary, so a professional manner is expected.

Construction industry and Buildertrend software knowledge preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

· Ensure all accounts payable policies and procedures are adhered to including vendor approval, and invoice processing.

· Assist with transactional processing of full accounts payable cycle. Accurately review, code, and post vendor invoices for payment, including obtaining payment approval, and entering the invoices into the accounting system.

· Review and reconcile invoice and purchase order discrepancies. Perform vendor payment reconciliation and serve as subject matter expert for various account payable functions.

· Receives, researches, and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate parties.

· Maintain vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures

· Perform data entry associated with accounts payable and the creation of purchase orders as directed by our Purchasing Dept.

· Address and respond to vendor inquiries

· All other duties as assigned.
