REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience with commercial loans and real estate loans. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable. Excellent computer/data entry and typing skills is required.

Must demonstrate a positive attitude, a professional image, and be self-motivated and have the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Must be able to build relationships in the community and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Reviews and analyzes commercial loans and consumer loans held in the credit union’s portfolio to ensure proper documentation has been obtained to perfect liens, document the borrower’s terms and conditions of the loan, and to maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Order appraisals to ensure compliance with regulations and consistency with supervisory guidance. Ensures the appraisal contains sufficient information to support a credit decision.
  • Alerts Branch Managers and Loan Officers to any loan exceptions.
  • Answers incoming phone calls and correspondence from credit union staff and members, performs research to respond to questions and directs specific questions to appropriate departments.
  • Assists in process of records management strategies, technology, applications and disposition of records and information. Scanning documents and filing documents within the imaging platform.
  • Represents the Credit Union with honesty, integrity and trust at all times.
  • Adheres to established internal policies and procedures for compliance.
  • Completes required compliance training in a timely manner and complies with all regulations within scope of the position.
  • Adheres to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act and anti-money laundering regulations.

  • Assist with accurate information gathering as needed by supervisor.
  • Possess a detailed working knowledge of software applications that is adequate to perform the duties assigned.
  • Possess a detailed working knowledge of the credit union’s core banking software that is adequate to perform the duties assigned.
  • Possess a detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software applications that is adequate to perform the duties assigned.
  • Recognize and listen to member/coworker requests and/or concerns and identify their needs so they may better be served.
  • Adequately perform all operational functions pertaining to position.
  • Confidentiality is of utmost importance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Potential exposure to the threat of violence at any time.
  • Occasional business travel may be required.
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time may be required.
  • Repetitive motions and extensive keyboarding may be required.
