LOCATION: Evansville Region
HOURS: Monday through Friday 8 am 5 pm *Over-time may be required if business and staffing needs dictate.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Underwriter assists the Retail Loan Advisors and other lenders in all aspects of the processing and underwriting portions of a loan file while protecting the Banks assets through prudent underwriting decisions using analytical, math and communication skills. The Retail Loan Underwriter will process and underwrite all types of Mortgage, Home Equity, and Consumer Loan applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES:
- Underwrites all loan files in accordance with the Banks Policies and Underwriting Guidelines, the Banks Secondary Market Investor Underwriting Guidelines and Private Mortgage Insurance Underwriting Guidelines
- Reviews all loan files for complete documentation and adherence to applicable regulatory compliance requirements.
- Manages pipelines for loans available for sale, quoting prices for Loan Advisors, take and make rate lock commitments at appropriate pricing, monitor commitments to ensure closing and delivery prior to expiration
- May assist in the completion of reports
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Encompass and nCino LOS experience preferred
- Preference for prior credit review experience
