Description
This position is primarily responsible for assisting in meeting banking and escrow regulatory and quality control requirements.Primary responsibility as the Compliance Officer is direct supervision of the Quality Assurance and Compliance processes, related to escrow closings/settlements, including technical coaching of internal staff, relationship management, staff development, audit reviews and audit responses.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform monthly audit reviews of escrow files
Act as liaison for outside underwriter audits and regulatory exams
Assist with implementation of new processes required by regulatory changes
Remain current concerning Quality Assurance processes, procedures.
Train and convey audit findings to Management and internal staff
Research and implement best practices and process improvement.
Work with National Escrow Manager to ensure ALTA Best Practices compliance
Suggests interdepartmental procedural and document changes to address compliance and risk issues
Manage relationships with auditors and Departments of Insurance
Identify and report on financial compliance failures
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1-3 years' experience in Quality Assurance, Banking and Escrow preferred
