Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager

Location:  On site, Knoxville, TN 

Summary

The Portfolio Manager assists in the assessment of risk and management of the Bank’s loan portfolio by providing analytical and credit oversight and is responsible for the annual review, renewal, loan covenant compliance reviews and financial collection process within assigned loan portfolio. Partners with Relationship Managers to grow and develop a high quality and profitable loan portfolio.

Key Responsibilities Include

• 34% Business Execution which includes:
  - Partnering with Commercial Relationship Managers in meeting with current and prospective clients to identify opportunities that reflect their goals and strategies
  - Collaborating with Relationship Manager as part of the "team" to finalize credit package terms and documentation on transactions.
  - Partnering with Relationship Manager to meet individual and team production goals. 
• 33% Customer Knowledge which includes:
  - Identifying customers' financial constraints, anticipated concerns and objectives
  - Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of customer's business from top to bottom
  - Discussing borrowers' organization and key management 
• 33% Portfolio Management:
  - Collaborating with Relationship Manager to prioritize new credit requests, renewals and reviews.
  - Works with and provides oversight to the Credit Analysts on the underwriting for the approval of credit requests.
  - Maintains perspective on business priorities and adjusts work accordingly
  - Monitors overall portfolio performance

Qualifications Include

• Bachelors Degree in business, accounting, or finance (Master's preferred)
• At least 7 years of commercial credit experience required (as credit analyst, underwriter, portfolio manager or similar position) 
• Microsoft Office suite
