Job Description:
The Vice President of Marketing drives revenue generation through aggressive goal setting, team motivation, and proven marketing strategies. The primary role of the VP of Marketing is to lead drive B2C marketing performance with the work of the marketing team as well as leading B2B marketing for business development for the operating company.
Job Purpose:
This role is a key member of the senior leadership team. The primary goals of the role are to drive total business revenue for the hotels and restaurants within the portfolio and to drive new business acquisitions for the First Hospitality operating company. This position works with the SVP of Commercial Strategy to oversee the deployment and manage marketing efforts for a growing team supporting a 50 hotel portfolio of properties. This position will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and EVP of Owner Success on marketing, communications, and PR for the company.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop annual marketing goals and build plan and strategy to support goals
- Identify and plan differentiated and impactful marketing strategies/materials
- Build, manage and coach a high-performing marketing team
- Work closely with revenue, sales, and operations counterparts to drive portfolio-wide initiatives
- Monitor and report on portfolio marketing performance on an ongoing basis
- Develop standard operating procedures as needed
- Build and maintain vendor relationships and suggest portfolio initiatives to build efficiencies and drive revenue performance
Ensure compliance of all digital marketing staying up-to-date with current brand guidelines.
Define and manage operating company marketing budget and execute all campaign deployments
Support the development of branding, mission, vision, values, and positioning of the operating company
Own corporate brand positioning and the look and feel of collateral, website content and all marketing activities
Manage editorial calendar and key messaging, copy, and media contact for senior leaders
Manage internal and external communications on behalf of the executive committee members
Work with outside vendors such as PR, web development, and other firms to develop and execute corporate marketing plans and strategies
Support hotels in development including branding, marketing budget and plan development, and recruitment
Visit properties and attend conferences as needed to drive brand awareness and support property initiatives

Job Qualifications:
- 10 years of Marketing experience, preferably in both full and select service with major brands, lifestyle and independent hotels
- 10 Years of Experience in a Direct Leadership role
- 4-year degree in hospitality management, marketing, or communications preferred, or equivalent experience and education
- Direct experience with hotel and restaurant website configuration, third party booking software and other various customer-facing, digital communication channels
- Experience with corporate communications, PR, and B2B marketing
Physical:
- Must be able to travel 50% of the time, dependent on location.
- Must be able to sit and work on the computer for extended periods of time
- Position based in the continental U.S.
