Join our dynamic Production Operations team as a Supervising Assistant Director based in North Hollywood. This hybrid, pivotal role oversees a team of Performance Marketing directors, ensuring the strategic planning and execution of multiple film shoots daily. As a Supervising AD, you will optimize our production schedules, significantly enhancing content creation while strategically reducing production costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Supervision: Collaborate with directors, strategists, and other creative stakeholders to evaluate and prioritize project requests. Lead the weekly planning sessions to align team efforts and ensure the seamless execution of multiple projects. Optimize daily operations and crew utilization to enhance overall productivity.
  • Efficiency Enhancement: Direct the development of comprehensive shot lists and detailed schedules. Maintain rigorous oversight to ensure that every shoot adheres to these plans. Instill a culture of speed and precision among production crews to meet quality standards without compromise.
  • Content Utilization and Archival Assessment: Evaluate incoming production requests against our Media Asset Management (MAM) system to determine necessity and avoid duplicative shooting.
  • Project Oversight and Coordination: Oversee all aspects of lifestyle shoots from development to wrap, acting as the key liaison between departments. Supervise the logistical process, direct workflow, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with established standards and schedules, while providing guidance and decision-making support to keep projects on track.
  • Rapid Set Preparation: Partner with the Art Dept to streamline set dressing processes, achieving ready-to-shoot setups within 30-60 minutes.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years' experience in a supervisory role within film or media production, preferably as an Assistant Director.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a strong focus on organization and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities, proven in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a knack for motivating teams to achieve high efficiency and productivity.
  • Deep understanding of film production workflows, processes, and scheduling.
