FR Health is a dynamic behavioral health care organization and is one of the top providers of substance abuse and mental health treatment services in San Bernardino County, CA for First Responders.
We are actively looking to add to our growing Company an Accountant to joint our team.
Responsibilities
- This position reports to the Controller
- Under supervision, the position performs various general ledger accounting functions, financial statement preparation, account analysis and reconciliations, and assists in the preparation and maintenance of schedules for financial reporting
- Perform various AP functions including the day-to-day entry and processing of vendor bills, vendor account reconciliation, processing & coding of EFT and credit card transactions, employee reimbursements, and weekly check run
- Collect and maintain vendor and subcontractor account information, including W9 verification, and issue annual 1099-NEC/MISC statements
- Perform various AR functions including the day-to-day entry and processing of customer invoices, payments, and credits, set up and management of payment plans, facilitation of payments of invoices due by creating and sending statements and reminders, reconciliation of customer accounts and appropriate escalation of past due balances to management
- Perform daily cash management duties including recording of bank deposits, posting cash receipts, and updating ledgers
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of GAAP in preparation and completion of assignments
- Ability to review, edit and intelligently discuss financial matters with supervisors
- Prepare timely and accurate reports, calculate, and interpret financial data and analyze financial accounts
- Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
Qualifications:

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel spreadsheet skills, Word and Outlook

- Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles and standards
- Ability to perform analysis, problem solving, decision making with complex or incomplete information
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Science (B.A. or B.S.) in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university
- Minimum 2 – 3 years AP/AR & General Ledger experience required (non-entry level)
- 2 – 3 years behavioral health/healthcare accounting experience desired
- Experience with ERP level accounting software preferred
- Experience with multiple entity/location/department accounting preferred
