Oracle DBA Consultant

Location: Piscataway NJ/ Atlanta GA / Irving TX (Onsite Hybrid)

Main Skills:

RAC, RMAN Goldengate Oracle 12c and 19C

Migration and cloud exp is preferred

Senior Oracle DBA with a minimum of 6 or more years of excellent hands-on experience to support on-premise and Cloud (OCI and AWS) 11G, 12C,18C and 19C Standalone and RAC/Exadata Oracle Databases, Oracle Goldengate, MYSQL database and Data streaming technologies/tools (like KAFKA) along with the very strong PL/SQL experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields

Technical Skills and Responsibilities required:

Support Production (24X7) systems and non-prod systems Ability to work in a very challenging production support environment Ability to attend calls during off-hours Ability to provide weekly on-call support Thorough understanding of RMAN Backup and Recovery process Well versed in HA and DR solutions RAC (GI, ASM) Expert in Oracle Goldengate, Shareplex, Physical Standby Database and Active Dataguard Well versed in Oracle Goldengate (OGG) Active/passive (one-way), Active/Active Install, setup, config, troubleshooting, admin Expert in PL/SQL Expert in various Database migration scenarios Experience in Cloud support and migrations Expert in Database installs, upgrades, and patching Efficiently carry out BAU (day to day) DBA responsibilities

* Hands on experience of installing/supporting/troubleshooting MYSQL databases in production environment Experience in Capacity Planning Ability to provide technical support to application development teams, Application DB release changes, Backout process Experience with Physical Database design Ability to understand Application architecture Well versed in Oracle Performance Tuning (P&T) Well versed in Pro-active and Reactive database monitoring, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) (Synthetic Monitoring) Troubleshooting Skills (process, scripts, commands) to quickly identify and resolve issues Oracle Security, Audit and security compliance Understanding of Storage technologies and Networking Hands on experience on Scripting (Shell, PL/SQL, Python) Good understanding of ITIL (Release Management, Change Management, Crisis Management, etc) Strong Linux/Unix skills Good understanding of DevOps, DB release automation for DevOps Oracle Support process Experiene with AWS RDS AWS/Oracle certification Terraform, Jenkins, Sourcetree, YAML Experience with cloud automation Very Good documentation skills MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Cassandra experience is a plus (as candidate will be supporting these databases besides Oracle databases.)
