Position Summary:
The Accounting Support position provides a broad range of entity accounting services. This position is responsible for maintaining financial records and preparing financial reports, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records using appropriate accounting software and systems.
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare financial information, including monthly financial statements and reports.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of financial reports.
- File and remit taxes and other obligations.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable for correct coding and payment of invoices.
- Handle insurance policies and coverage for various assets.
- Ensure various due dates are anticipated and met.
- Assist with other assigned accounting tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in using various accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task.
