Collections Specialist
Job Summary:
Responsible for contacting customers who are delinquent on their loan payment to obtain payment, make payment arrangements or establish a repayment plan. They shall follow established policies and procedures when contacting and determining a collection solution. Delinquency must be kept at a satisfactory percentage while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Responsible for contacting customers who are delinquent on their loan payment to obtain payment, make payment arrangements or establish a repayment plan. Position Requirements:
- Bilingual Preferred.
- High School Degree or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in collections, preferably in the finance industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of both state and federal laws, collection regulations, policies and procedures, and all BSA requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews delinquent accounts daily.
- Communicates with delinquent borrowers in attempt to obtain late payments and discuss circumstances causing delinquent status.
- Determine solutions to resolve delinquent status and make possible financial arrangements that would resolve temporary problems.
- Document all collection actions taken in system.
- Maintain positive relations with all customers, discussing sensitive personal circumstances in a frank, yet tactful manner.
- Maintain control over delinquent accounts by maintaining a satisfactory percentage of past due accounts.
- Report delinquency status to management on a regular basis.
- Perform collection duties for other branches when requested.
